I've come back to reality today after thoughts, yesterday, of joining the Navy Seals, ( see previous post ) specifically Seal Team 6. ( They would so have me. )
While walking to the wheelhouse from the lower engine room today, it has been decided, because of an increased heart rate, that maybe it will be wise to stay where I am doing amazingly exciting and interesting work like......
changing main engine air filters.
Ok, it's not the same rush as taking out high value targets like terrorists
but it does pay the bills.
Time flew by today and as I was in the engine room I was wondering about what the boys were preparing for dinner. I thought I smelled fresh bread which got my imagination going.
I just knew when I walked up to the galley my senses would be overwhelmed, the counters full with platters of steaming hot just prepared delicious food.
This joint is as sterile as a hospital O.R.
STILL HUNGRY HERE.

That's so funny! Imagination is a powerful thing, isn't it?
And what was it you were smelling? On second thought, I don't want to know. Happy New Year.
no fresh bread? what a letdown :(
did they finally come through in the end and bake you some :)
Oh man, what a letdown for you. Could you have made some yourself??
I hope you have eaten by now and have a full feeling so you can change more filters tomorrow. Oh I see I haven't been here for awhile, I will return and catch up soon.
What I've learned from your pictures today is that size matters. Do filters get any bigger than the ones you change every now and then? I'm impressed.
stopping by to wish you a very happy new year!!
So much for the steaming hot buffet!!
Ha

LOL.... OH, I hope you get a good meal soon. I would think you guys would make sure of that, one of the few comforts you could get on that big metal ship.
You know.. a bread machine doesn't take up much space, have you seen them? You literally through the ingredients in, no kneading or mixing required... and come back later to a fresh loaf. Imagine!....
What no food....I hope dinner was not cereal! Have a great day!
an interesting, albeit, mysterious post. ;o)
