Tug boat Christmas

When spending Christmas on the boat
sometimes the best mindset to have is to just pretend
it's just another day.

But that's hard to do
when you wake up and find Santa (Captain)
left a few presents for you under the tree.

I was tickled to unwrap a new screw driver.
One of those all in one doohickies
with all the different bits in the handle.
Very cool.
But as the engineer on the boat,
I can't help but wonder if the Captain (Santa) was trying to tell me something.

It's not very visible in the photo
but instead of wrapping paper he used old "charts"
you know, maps for the water.

Lunch was amazing.
Chuck, our dechand and self appointed cook outdid himself.
The only thing missing was my family,
who I will reunite with in 2 days on a white sandy beach in the Caribbean.

Here's hoping all you guys have a great Christmas Day,
and a thought for those not as fortunate as I.

How cool...love the wrapping paper! Glad you had a great feast too.
And to be able to soon spend time on the beach with family is fabulous!
I had a wonderful Christmas celebration with family. Gotta love those grandkids!
Santa was generous and the feast was tummy stretching!!

Merry Christmas! The tree is great and it's the thought that counts. I think I'd like gifts wrapped in that paper, it's certainly more interesting than the other stuff.

The food does look good. I had to laugh at the tree in the Folger's container, so creative. Nice that Santa knew where to find you. Have a great time in the Caribbean!

Mark, I have one of those screw drivers... I love it... Your Captain is a good person. I like really like the Christ tree in a coffee can. I can't think of a more universal statement about Christmas than that.

... and another thing... As stuffed as I am after big-time Christmas eating, I drool looking at that green bean casserole with the onions on top. Like the screwdriver you got for Christmas, it's one of my favorite things.
... and another thing... I really like it that you express how fortunate you are. Happy New Year.
