Thick as a Brick

I installed a brick walkway in my backyard.
Installed?
Are walkways installed?
Or is it built?
A hot tub is installed,
A walkway is ......made?

It looked really really good for about the first 10 years.

Lately, it took on a more.......rustic look.

My wife used a different descriptive adjective.

I was looking for a fun project anyway
so I thought I'd rip that baby up and start from scratch.

The "Walkways and Patios" book said ,
"..can be done in a weekend."

That's correct ,
IF YOU HAVE A CREW WORKING FOR YOU!

I'm on about day 4.
My crew's name is Mary Ellen.

Isn't that the way home projects go? Smiling, as we often have the same crew with husband and me. Yes, I do have to agree the brick walk needed to be done. You will be so happy with it and glad you did it eventually.

Rustic is good. Your foundation looks great!

I have a small walkway that was done by a contractor ~8 years ago that is deteriorating. I'm not looking forward to rebuilding it, sounds like a good Fall project.
