Appreciation

In my many travels throughout the year
when I see military personnel in uniform at the airport,
I often go up to them
and thank them for their service.

I feel these days
I should be doing the same thing
when I see police officers
in the streets.

Is this world we live in
crazy or what?

It's disgusting how vilified (I'm sure I didn't spell that right) police officers are. Are there rogue cops? Yup.. just like in every facet of life. However the majority are not.. and the fact that they put their lives on the line every single day for OUR sake is miraculous, to say the least. If you don't act like a thug, you're not going to be treated like one and overzealous reactions won't happen. Period.

I agree with you. That is a job that I would never be brave enough for....they deserve better.

I so agree with this thought. Thanks for mentioning it. Yes, it is crazy!

Yes! My nephew, a young police officer over Christmas break , just had a conversation about how shy he is when he has to pull someone over! What a sweet young man he is. A few bad apples as they say.... Being a peace officer is hard work.
Bless them all with folks who are kind enough to express their gratitude.
Thanks Mark as always you get it right.
