If you see, or know about, a young child that has been sexually abused by an adult,
you are supposed to say something to the authorities,
BECAUSE THAT IS WRONG!.
I need to make this statement because many adults at Penn State University have had knowledge for over a decade, that child abuse has been taking place at this famous University, and they have said nothing.

Penn State University, always bragging about how proud they were to run clean athletic programs have fallen from grace in a huge way.
Joe Paterno, or Joe Pa as he is lovingly known by his admiring fan base, is the head football coach at this once proud institution was told of an incident, in 2002, involving his assistant coach and a 10 year old boy in the locker room showers. The disgusting details are in the above linked report.
In case you missed that, I said the boy was 10 years old. So what did the respected, teacher of children do about this? He told his athletic director. Wow Joe Pa, that's impressive. How about telling the cops, or didn't you want to smudge the respected name of the great Penn State?
It turns out the A.D. didn't think it was worth mentioning either, because this behavior went on, at Penn State for about 15 years. We're talking about the lives of young children here.
What kind of monsters live in what they call Happy Valley?
I know of 8 kids who aren't very happy, the kids who testified in the grand jury investigation for the last 3 years, who were sexually abused.
Obviously, many people at Penn State put the well being of their precious University before the well being of the children. I can't think of a crime worse than that.
If there is any fairness in this world, many people at Penn State University will be fired and many will be put in prison. This story is unfolding as I write this. Coach JoePa went to football practice today like it was just another day in Happy Valley. The arrogance of these people make me sick.
JoePa will be gone soon, after a 46 year run as the head coach, as well as all the monsters who covered up these sickening crimes.
So, to repeat, if you see a 10 year old boy being raped by a grown man,
say something to the cops.

I hate to say this but the child care center at Nike World headquarters is named after this person. Don't you guess they will be changing that quickly. At least they better, that's all I have to say.

Thank you! The fact that they have to be TOLD that it is wrong...I mean...seriously! It is disgusting behavior for adults...sick!!
If I would see someone molesting a child...well...let's just say they wouldn't be doing it again!!

It is a proven fact that child molesters put themselves in position to be around children....teachers...coaches...boy--girl scout leaders....never ever blindly trust your child around someone in authority...always know where they are and what they are doing....a red flag should be when a teacher / coach wants to spend "more time" helping such as tutoring...extra coaching...sad but true...
As someone who works in a pediatric ER and sees victims of abuse every day, I can't thank you enough for your post. Child abuse is rampant, the criteria to report TO THE STATE AND POLICE, not your boss, is 'reason to suspect' and, if you don't, you're as culpable as the person doing the abuse.
