Calling all dog owners/lovers

I'm reaching out to my friends in the blog world
for a little help.

I have a question.

What is this?

 I KNOW it's a dog.
That's our dog Rosie.

But what kind of dog do you think she is?

Any ideas?

About 9 years ago my daughter Bryn rescued Rosie.
That's all well and good,
but Bryn was living with us
so actually WE rescued Rosie.

We were going to keep her until Bryn moved out to college,
at which time Rosie would live with Bryn.

Yeah right !
You can guess how that went.

Bryn finished college,
got married,
and rescued another dog.

I guess Rosie is ours now.

What we know is the mother was a lab.
When she gets outside she is constantly sniffing the ground,
like furiously sniffing the ground.

Once in a while she'll stop, stare ahead
and lift her front leg as if to point.

She is a gentle soul who is always at the door
when we come home.
Always happy.

And she can spell.

Yep.

Recently my wife looked at me and whispered,
"She wants to go for a W - A - L - K.
Rosie popped off her bed and came running over.

So, we got that going for us.

Any ideas?

I know, I know, it's a Smart dog. Labs will sometimes point. The fur resembles a german shepard, but I'm no authority on dog breeds, I just love having them as pets

Mark, I hate to tell you this...but that dog is...a big beast of a dog..LOL She's big! don't you think her head is very like a beagles?? She sure sounds like she is your dog now and forever. Probably all loving and stuff like that. I do like smart dog. I almost hate nasty untrained dogs...but then , most times it's the owners...do you know what I mean...it's like kids...sometimes, they only know what they are taught. So even big old clumsy dog still need love...I am describing my daughter's dog Sam here.LOL. He not the best trained, beats you with his tail rubs against you till he can knock you over. Gallops, that's how big he is, right into you. If you love you dog Mark, then she's part of your family. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

She looks like she's got some Bassett Hound blood in her. If you really want to know, there are labs that will run the genetics for you.

She is too cute! I haven't a clue what combo breed she looks like....she can spell I would say she is a keeper! Sophie is really our daughters dog (12th bday present) Sophie could care less about Katelyn and runs when Katelyn comes home! So I guess she is ours forever too! Have a wonderful weekend!

Well, it's obvious she is a Puppy Dog!
Geeze Mark.
:)
I'm thinking she has some German Shepherd in her.
Do you ever notice her tackling bad people?
No?
Well, then I'm going back to Puppy Dog.
A lucky puppy dog.
