August Break, The Oil Field

Yesterday we were told to head over to the Mississippi River to assist one of our other tug and barge units. So we made the 7 hour one way trip through the oil field in the Gulf.
Yeah! Movement. We actually left the dock after 11 days.
Below are just some photos of what I saw.

As far as the eye can see, nothing but rigs.
Below is a radar image of all the rigs we were driving through.

Of course, I couldn't pass up this sunset shot.

Today is the last day of "August Break."
I actually found taking a break, quite tiring.

Mark,
That radar screen tells the story, doesn't it... How much oil is down there anyway? The rig in the first photograph looks like a vacation spot... love all your sunset pictures.

Too funny, I found the August Break was hard to just say a few words. Glad that is over. Love your sunset shot. It was indeed fun to meet beth face to face.
