Ok, here we go....I admit it.....I'm a little sad because last night I missed the TV show "Army Wives."
That's right!
Please don't leave comments telling me what a *#@! I am. I already heard it.
I'm Army proud baby.
My daughter let's me know on a regular basis in no uncertain terms how disappointed she is with my TV viewing choices.
------------
Speaking of TV, I haven't been around in blogsville as much as I would have liked lately, for reasons that just aren't interesting enough to mention, but I haven't seen much written about American Idol and the now, not so new judges.
Here's my input.
Life as I know it, when I am home, pretty much comes to a halt when Idol is on. That's just the way it is.
If the dog has to pee, she has to hold it. Sorry.

As much as I enjoyed Simon and....the drunk lady with Randy, Steven Tyler and J-LO,
BLOW THEM AWAY.
At least that's my take on it.

Tyler cracks me up and I think he actually knows what he is talking about, which might explain the billion records he has sold in the last 30 years.
And J-Lo.....well, she's freekin J-Lo for heavens sake. How can I NOT enjoy watching a show with her on it. Seriously though, I like her remarks also, another who knows what she is talking about.
I didn't think it would be the same without Simon.
I was right, it's not.
It's better.

You know when your filling out a registration form on one of the hundreds of web sites that require it, and you come to that pull-down window that asks you to click on the year you were born?
My scrolling seems to take longer and longer....down....down....down, oh yeah, there it is.
That doesn't give me a warm fuzzy feeling.

Today we got wet!

Flooding the graving dock.

That's an amazing system at the dock there, never seen anything like it.

And yeah.. the scrolling.

Not only are the judges better (LOVE me some Steve Tyler, and I thought he'd be a dope, he's actually as you said.. pretty intelligent!) ..but the talent seems phenomenal too!.. best yet, I think.

you too?
everything here also stops when idol comes on....and to say i love steven, would be an understatement. he makes me laugh.
the kindness factor is huge this season without simon around, but i do miss him just a tiny bit :)

and sheesh, how about the talent this year. i'm not sure who will win, but i feel that so many of them will have contracts regardless of the title.

but let's play the "who do you want to come your next party" game....
my answer all along has been paul. those lanky legs that can't dance and that smile of his, get me every time !!!
my dad wants scotty to come to his party.

I have to agree with you! I think Idol is much better. I love the judges and they all know what they are talking about...gosh...what a novel approach!! Duh!!!
I hear you about scrolling down the year born list. Takes me forever now!!

My husband and I both think American Idol is so much better this year with Steven Tyler and J-Lo. There is also so many good talents this season it is difficult to pick my favorite. I have never seen a season with so many good singers.

Oh my, apparently I've been missing some good stuff on TV. I pretty much gave up on it and prefer reading, but maybe I'll catch Idol one of these evenings.

I'm a big fan of BBC's "Lark Rising to Candleford" and I'm willing to bet you've never heard of it. PBS is my preferred network cuz I can't stand commercials anymore! But thanks for the heads-up on Idol.

Mark, My very favorite quote in the Blogosphere today... and maybe for the month... and maybe for the year is: " If the dog has to pee, she has to hold it. Sorry."
