The big day is only weeks away.
Yep, my middle daughter is getting married. She's excited, and so are we.
I like line dances.
For so long, we've been talking about the wedding, but it was like this far off thing.....
like retirement. I talk about that all the time, but it doesn't seem really real.

Like a snowfall 2 weeks before Christmas, makes it feel like Christmas,
today it felt like the wedding was just around the corner.
I wasn't there, but I get it.
Today was pickup the wedding dress (The same one her mother wore), pickup the bridesmaid dress's, something about flowers and go to the last food "tasting". (At the first tasting, the chicken dish got a thumbs up from the groom to be, but the panel of judges for the vegetarian dish, didn't score so high.) So a second tasting took place today, and my wife ( panel of judges) gave them a score of 10 out of 10, said it was delicious.

You think it's hard to win Top Chef?
Try serving a so-so vegetarian entree on our daughters wedding day, and you'll know the real meaning of Hells Kitchen.
The "panel of judges" gave the Chef some ideas. After all, I guarantee you my wife, I mean "panel of judges" has been cooking vegetarian meals longer than this Chef, whoever he might be. Anyway, everybody's happy.

Mom and daughters, spending the day doing everything wedding.
As it should be.

Everywhere you read, they say you should set goals.
Write down your goals.
Speak aloud your goals. All successful people have goals.
Wake up in the morning and set daily goals.

I read Zen Habits, a very cool blog.
He says quit setting goals.

COME ON! Which is it?

Goals are good... Achieving them is really good... but the striving is the main thing, isn't it?

...and I like the way you transitioned, wisely, from wedding to goals.

I think during the wedding rush it's a good thing to be on a boat in Texas! That's pretty exciting to be the father if the bride! Congrats to your daughter.

I'm with Zen! I try to set mental goals I should probably write them down then they would be remembered!

Have a great day!

Hello Mark! Weddings are big business, I only realised recently that you had to pay for the church! I thought faith was enough! I blame my Irish Granny bless her! Goals, I am fantastic at writing them down in a beautiful notebook, nodding approval as I read over and closing the book and carefully slip it on a bookshelf lost there forever maybe as im too busy writing down my goals! Hope you are well Mark and I am sre the wedding will be wonderful!

To set goals or not to set goals, that is the question. Now you have me confused too.

Enjoy every moment of the wedding, including the preparations. It sounds like that is what you are doing. Enjoy!
