Ok, so I finally found that Island in the Caribbean where I plan to spend my retirement years. It's been a life long search for my wife and I, but we found it.
This happens everytime I visit a Caribbean Island. If only I had money.
But more on that later.
First, I need to give someone his propps.
As the Penn State saga slowly grew over the last few weeks, someone was way ahead of CNN, Fox News and ESPN, calling for the removal of the statue of Coach Joe Paterno from the campus at Penn State, which has been accomplished.
As I sat on a beach on the Island of Nevis a few days ago with sandy feet and umbrella drink in hand, a blue tarp was thrown over the head of Paterno's bronze statue in Happy Valley PA and it was unceremoniously dragged from it's anchor to, who knows where.
Did anyone think it strange that they covered the statue with a tarp? IT'S A STATUE!
IT IS NOT A LIVING THING.
THEY WERE NOT SETTING A RESCUED WHALE FREE FROM A CAGE, COVERED TO KEEP IT CALM.
IT'S A STATUE.
PENN STATE CAN'T EVEN REMOVE A STATUE CORRECTLY.
WERE THEY AFRAID OF HURTING THE STATUE'S FEELINGS?
So, back to the propps .
I would like to give propps to......... ME.
At the bottom of a post I wrote dated July 2nd, I state, before any news outlet would, the need for the removal of that disgusting arrogant symbol of power which was a statue of a football coach.
