Rushing Christmas

The stuffing, cranberry sauce and apple pie hasn't even fully digested from my self induced  multi-day food binge I have been a part of since we celebrated Thanksgiving a week ago, but we headed out to see the yearly Christmas display put on at Pierre DuPont's old digs, Longwood Gardens, last night.

Usually, that would be an infraction in my book.

Talk about rushing Christmas! It's not even December yet but we took part in a members only invitation to view the display, and yes, awesome as usual.

Today's November Photo Challenge word of the day is tree.
It's raining outside here at my house, so I am stretching the Photo Challenge rules a bit and using a photo from last night. See any tree above.

One last thought on Thanksgiving.
Around our table sat 4 people, counting my wife and I.
My wife baked 3 pie's.

Let me repeat.
Around our table sat 4 people.
MY WIFE BAKED 3 PIE'S!!

Two of the people left after dinner.
The pie's did not.

LAUGH OUT LOUD!!!! You ALWAYS crack me up, Mark. (The pies!!!)

Alas - I am guilty of "rushing" Christmas. But it's because I love the "spirit" of the season. I wish I could capture it all year but I haven't been able to. So I stretch it as long as I can. Yup - GUILTY. But for a good cause...

Love the pix!

Pie for breakfast, lunch and dinner is perfectly acceptable in my world! Lovely trees and lights!
