Yesterday we found ourselves
trapezing around the City of Brotherly Love.
I was an almost perfect Spring day.
As advertised the city was full of love
and of people
who painted their faces and wore horns on their heads.
But that's ok.
People who paint their faces and wear horns on their heads
are people too.
And they do crazy dancing.
Other visuals from Rittenhouse Square.....
After an afternoon of walking around the city,
we headed to "Vedge"
a favorite eatery of ours.
It's a "small plate" place,
my wife and daughter Erin shared
8 different items.
It's a great way to be able to sample many different items
on their menu.
One of my plates had
Asparagus
Grilled Seitan with swiss chard, whipped Tahini
and pickled turnips
Brussels Sprouts
shaved and grilled with smoked mustard
Fingerling Fries
in a creamy worchestershire sauce.
Eggplant Braciole
smoked with cured olive oil and
sicilian salsa verde.
among other things.
That was my Saturday
I hope you had a good one.
Happy Easter

Sounds like a fun and interesting day....it's nice to live near an exciting city....Buffalo is not a walkable city although there are parts that have a draw but nothing like other cities! Happy Easter!
I think I could have done without the pickled turnips---just sayin'. Love the City of Brotherly Love but I haven't been there in years! Hope you had a wonderful Easter with your family- Diana
YUM!!!.....
I've never been to your city as an adult, thanks for sharing.
Interesting small plate restaurant.
I do believe the people of the City of Brotherly Love were lov'n on the sunshine and celebrating in many strange ways. That is what the sun can do when it has been lacking for awhile.
Wowza....there are some interesting people in this world aren't there??? I'm sorry, but the horny people scare me.
The restaraunt is right up my alley....I like sample sized tastings!
Great pics, Mark! I never realized that Philly had so many gymnastically talented people! Looks like a great, livable city.
YES! Celebrate!
