A Journey to Kenya's Slums

What strikes me about these photos
of my daughter and her film crew in Kenya
as they film a documentary about Kenya's runners,
is these kids.

Look at the smiles on their faces.
The same smiles that are on the faces of kids in Philadelphia,
or San Diego, or Tampa.

The conditions they live in......

just unbelievable.

More photos of this project are right here.

The conditions are unimaginable. Clearly, what they lack in material good is made up for in the love they share. I suspect your daughter will come home having experienced more love in her trip than most people experience in their whole lives.

You can definitely be proud of your daughter. This is an amazing dream come true and project. Very nice!

"A kind heart is a fountain of gladness making everything in its vicinity freshen into smiles" Washington Irving. What an extraordinary young woman. You must be so proud of her.
