The NBA finals are over as of last night, and you may have heard, the much maligned Lebron James won his first NBA title.
Now I have to listen to all the people who I so obnoxiously told, for the last 2 years, that Lebron would never win a title. I guess that's why I'm a seaman and not a NBA scout.
And it's time for some humble pie as I must pay off all the bets I lost.
I wouldn't consider myself a heavy better.
I owe a fellow crew member $5. But he owes me $10. Not a problem.
The biggest hit I took was a bet I had placed with my daughter.
She's a huge King James fan.
The next time I see her I will have a 6 pack of Guiness for her, to pay off my debt.
Bottles, not cans.
She's so particular.

Hopefully I'm done writing about, reading about and hearing about that evil man named Jerry Sandusky, since he was convicted today on 45 of the 48 counts against him.
But I'm sure that isn't true.
A new twist to this sickening story is that one of Jerry's adopted children came forward and said he too was sexually abused by the former Penn State assistant football coach. That's just disgusting on so many levels.
More charges against Jerry are just around the corner.
I wonder if the students will riot again up there in Happy Valley?

I wonder what his wife has to say now... if she'll say anything at all.. now that her son was a victim. Just....that.
i was thinking what karen wrote....and i'm like you in hopes that we're done hearing about him, but that probably isn't going to happen.
but really, what more can be said?
and i wasn't watching the NBA finals, but i think the betting side you is cute :)
There will be somebody waiting in a dark corner of a prison somewhere to show him what it might have felt like to be used. His knowing that's going to happen is part of his punishment. He's been a man in control... a man who had all the power. Now he's the guy with no power at all. Wow! What a change! This time the system is working well.
