Reason to Celebrate

When you play a card game
in the shadow of the Olympic Rings
the stakes are raised.
I gave my wife a 500 rummy beat down the other night.
When I insisted on having a medal ceremony
she reminded me the Olympics have been over
for weeks and that I
I SHOULD LET IT GO.

It's hard for me to do.

You know the saying,
there are 2 subjects you should not discuss in a bar.
Politics and Religion.
I'm beginning to think that rule might apply to my blog.

So, on a lighter note
I saw Sarah Palin was in the news over the weekend.
She's so cute.
I forget why she was newsworthy.

On a serious note, there is reason for celebration in our family.
Annie, the newest member of our family
was born just the other day to my niece and her husband
who live in the often snow covered western part of Pennsylvania.
It begs the question,
did they just need more team members to help shovel?

Upon hearing this great news, I celebrated
like most people would
by wearing

MY USA OLYMPIC APPAREL
everywhere I went.

Maybe my wife is right

You just answered a question I've had for many, many years. It has to do with the fact my parents had five kids and we lived in northern Illinois. All of us did a whole lotta snow shovelling!!

Yep! A new snow shoveler for sure! And I love the Olympic gear!! Now I know who buys that stuff.

I like the Olympics apparel. How wonderful a new family member, even if for snow shoveling.
