As we sit here at anchor a stones throw from down town Yonkers, N.Y
I'd rather be on this boat.

But I'm not.

The other day we were at the dock in Yonkers so we could do some grocery shopping.
My assistant Carl, asked if I needed anything at the drug store, since he was going.

I was sort of thinking out loud and I said, "I did forget my shampoo, but that's ok, I'll just keep using the bar of soap." He said he'd gladly pick me up some and I repeated it wasn't necessary.

Well, Carl's a good guy and took it upon himself to pick me up a bottle of VO5. When I asked him how much I owed him, he said it was only about a dollar, not to worry about it.
So I got a buck from my wallet, but he wouldn't take it. Flat out refused.

So I snuck it in his room and put it on his bed. That night when I went to bed, it was on my pillow.
So the next day I put it in his laptop, only to find it in my underware drawer later that night.

This morning I taped it to the coffee pot handle when he got up for watch.
I just found it in the medicine cabinet under my tooth paste.

Looks like I'll be busy for the next two weeks, trying to pay my bills.
Which got me to thinking.
Wouldn't it be nice if you payed your 400 dollar credit card bill...
and they sent it back, with a note saying, that's ok, my treat.

All I know is I am $1 richer than I should be, and my hair looks balanced and moisturized.
Thank you Carl.

Omg too funny this dollar exchange could go on and on I do wish someone would forgive my AMX bill now that is a dream. I do love the pay it forward mentality don't you! Have great day!

LOL... How about taped to the ceiling above his bunk. Or in a pocket of his duffle bag that he won't open until he's home.

HA! Now this sounds like a really fun game to me. Bet you two are getting a kick out of it as well as a grin or two.

Stories like this make me smile all through the day. You could publish a book of short stories... you really could.

Nothin' like "balanced and moisturized hair", is there!

Love the story and can hardly wait to read about more creative hiding spots.
