Flipper

I mentioned the other day
my lack of photographic opportunities
because we have been anchored in one place for sooo long.

The last few days this area as been a hot spot
for my dolphin friends.
I could go out on deck any time and see many of these sleek beauties
all around the boat.

As if they were camera shy
every time I would grab my camera
they would seem to disappear.
I could never quite seem to get a clear shot at them.
Until today.

Gotcha!

That just made me smile!!! You got him! And as much as it must be fun for you to try and get him, let me ask you something - your fancy new camera probably has that setting when you click once and it makes a million photos, doesn't it? I try to use that on hummingbirds, but never got a really great photo. You might have better luck :-)

I love the photographs... wonder if your dolphins are youngsters or if the Gulf dolphins are all smaller than the ones we have out here in the Pacific...

How exciting to see. I love seeing sea life such as dolphins and whales. I would be beside myself, what a thrill.

How lucky you are! I've never seen a dolphin in the wild and envy you. They are such graceful, intelligent creatures.
