Rushing Spring

Yesterday, we trudged through the snow/mud mixture
that is now our yard
and made our annual winter pilgrimage
to the beautiful grounds

This jaunt always gets us primed for Spring.
Below, a sampling of what we saw.

We are members at Longwood,
which is a short 15 minute drive from our house,
so it affords us the opportunity to pop on over to this tranquil setting
many times throughout the year.

It always seemed to me that these gardens
just miraculously appear
because we never seem to notice many workers.

Until yesterday.

I would say their job is a never ending one.

I'm counting the days until Spring.

I can't wait to see the colors return to my yard! I'm so sick of gray and white....tomorrow we are expecting 6-12 inches of snow....yuck! I'll take pretty flowers any day!

All of that color is certainly a welcome sight after a cold, hard winter for so many people. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for this transfusion of spring! Absolutely gorgeous. How lucky you are to live so close!

Beautiful garden. I would have gone bat $hit crazy in that awful winter you had back there. You deserve a pretty Spring.

Thanks, Mark, for taking us to Longwood. No better springtime anywhere... even San Diego can't top that.

And the workers are smiling too. :)
Love seeing all the gorgeous blooms, especially the orchids. I'm sharing one of our hibiscus blooms tomorrow. Lucky (maybe?) for us, they bloom all year round here.
Stay warm!
