I love watching these guys.
Yesterday we had 14 galavanting around our back yard.
Yes, I left the cushions on the furniture
just in case they would want to stretch out.
Actually, I forgot to bring them in before the first snow
which was about 3 months ago.
It's very interesting watching them interact with each other.
There is a definite pecking order.
The young ones play, jumping and getting into mischief
as the mom is a bit more stoic, serious, always with an eye out
incase trouble comes.
We haven't seen Dad for a while.
We hope the worst did not happen.
Hope your Wednesday is a good one.

Dad separates from the family at a certain point... and the bucks actually travel together for a while before separating and staking their own territory. Rutting season.. or something like that. If you look around in your woods you will see places where they have rubbed their antler and "scratched" the trees", marking their space.
Such pretty creatures! I haven't seen any in our yard just trails through the snow looks like they have a hay day when I'm sleeping! Have a wonderful Wednesday!
Wow. How amazing to have that in your back yard!
They are beautiful. Perhaps Mom was looking round for a waiter??? ;)
