August Break, The Holy See at Sea?

I had to do a double take when I saw this today.

That is the name of the current Roman pontiff, isn't it?

Having been brought up Catholic, I should know that answer but lately, I must admit, I
haven't followed their lineup card as closely as I used to since, well...you know.

A tug boat named for a Pope, mmmmmm.
I just find that a bit

creepy.

Not Stephen King creepy

but Birthday Party Clown creepy.

Gotta agree with you on the creepy name, Mark. Maybe the owner was hoping it would bring good luck, but I'm thinking he/she might be rethinking that now.

Hell, I sort of like the idea that a basic, work-a-day boat is named for a living Pope... not just a dead saint. On the other hand, it makes me feel the way I felt when I was behind a pick-up on Interstate 8 a couple of days ago that had in big letters across the back window: REAL MEN LOVE JESUS. I looked for a gun rack but didn't see one.
