I stumbled upon a great idea.
(Actually I stole the idea from my friend.)
The idea is to take a photo each day in Novemeber.
The list is below.
I may have to amend the rules a bit.
I'll post a photo each day I have an internet signal on the boat.
So, here's my first entry for something beginning with "C"
Like most of us, I start my day checking out the latest news concerning hurricane Sandy.
I still can't believe the destruction that storm left in her wake.
Naturally the news stations need to go back on tour
with the Presidential candidates
as they continue to stump their way toward election day.
But you know what?
I'm more interested in finding out about the millions of citizens
in the north east that are still without power and how they are doing.
What I'm not in the mood for right now is watching these two candidates
talk to the throngs of people
who are waving signs and American flags
as they hear THE SAME MESSAGE THAT HAS BEEN RECITED FOR THE LAST TWO FREEKIN YEARS,
while millions in the northeast can't watch it on TV
BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO POWER!
We should call an end to the campaign!!
We've heard it all before.
And for those people who, at this late date Nov 1st,
who are still undecided about who to vote for
then you should be made to turn in your
"I am an American" I.D. card.
It's not like this decision is a hard one.
The candidates have nothing in common.
The decision shouldn't be that hard.
I can understand some indecision at the window of your local ice cream parlor.
Chocolate or vanilla? Maybe strawberry.
They're all made with cream
all 3 are sweet
and they all taste good.
Not an easy decision.
But Obama or Romney?
No matter what your political afiliation,
if you didn't know the answer to that choice
the instant Mitt was named the republican candidate
than HAND IN YOUR I.D. CARD.
Too many homes in the north east are either flooded, damaged
or floating in the Atlantic Ocean.
I don't want to hear another scripted stump speech,
from either side right now.
