Today, the 20th of November,
and the subject of this days challenge is,
WORK/PLAY

Obviously this drum set must be played in my recording studio
when I am practicing for my part time work, the weekend gig.

Ok,

I don't have a recording studio and I don't have a weekend gig,
but I always wanted to say the words
recording studio and gig
in a sentence.

***
I was out running errands with my wife today
when I was informed
that we were swinging by the grocery store
to pick up a few things. Gulp.

UGH!
I hate grocery shopping.
 Many years ago my participation
in pushing a shopping cart and squeezing the melons
was no longer required by my wife
mainly because I pout like a 4 year old
as soon as I enter the dairy section of any grocery store.

My wife's feeling toward this
is like, thanks but no thanks.
It's just much easier for her to do it herself
without the drama,
(me kicking and screaming)
know what I mean?

So today,
upon our arrival  at the store I sucked it up like a big boy
 grabbed a shopping cart
and followed my wife into the hallowed hall of
Whole Foods.

As we walked past the fresh bread section
I noticed a glow in the distance along the wall.
It sucked me toward it with the strength of a full moon rip tide.

As I approached this sacred area
white doves were release and angels started singing.....
I was looking at the cheese section in Whole Foods.
Acres and acres of cheese.
HAVE YOU SEEN THIS?

If you haven't
I suggest you double up on your cholesterol meds
and pay them a visit.

For years my husband thought we had to grocery shop together until I advised him that he was wrong. I would rather have someone stick needles in my eyes than grocery shop with him. So much less painful to simply do it myself.

Oh yes, I have seen the cheese and avoid it as much as possible. They sometimes carry a sparkling Jasmine tea that is delicious. Now can you believe I am telling you this secret.

i hate grocery shopping, too....but totally love whole foods !!

our son is going to school to become a sound engineer and right now he works in the recording studio regularly at school, has a mini one set up in his living room and has turned one of his bedrooms into an isolation booth.....so you can come play your drums anytime !!!

ps...in february he's starts his classes to get his bachelors degree in the media entertainment business.

Too funny! I wish we had a Whole Foods here. I have a busy day today and I'm trying to figure out how to get my hubby to do the grocery shopping....it's just a few items 10 or 12...it will be real quick!!

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!

I hope you've discovered Chobani Greek yogurt. It's actually from a Turkish recipe, but nevermind... Delicious.

Okay Mark....you MUST come visit Holland. I'll treat you with cheese like you've never seen and tasted before....I mean I LIVE in the country of cheese...so about your question if I'd ever saw one...I work next door to one.
Sending pictures soon my friend.
