Some members of congress were getting rich
because of privileged, inside information they had received.
It's called insider trading.
A law was passed yesterday
banning lawmakers from taking advantage of this knowledge
and making a huge profit in the stock market.
So, now members of congress
can't become as rich
as easily as before.
And this affects me how?
Glad that's settled.
Now they can go about the very important business
of investigating the bounty's
that were placed on some NFL players
by the coaching staff of the New Orlean Saints.
I kid you not.
A congressman decided it would benefit this nation of ours
if he formed a committee to investigate
who, where and what steroid using goons
took part in a "Bounty System"
that payed them handsomely if they were successful in
having a particular opposing player "carted off."
Professional football is a contact sport if I remember correctly.
I think this makes for interesting talk
but congress should utilize their time a little better
and concentrate on things like Health Care, gas prices,
job growth and the economy.
Whitney Houston's cause of death
was released to the public yesterday.
It seems she drowned in her bath tub. It was an accident.
Oh, and the cocaine.
And the pot.
And the half dozen other over the counter drugs
that were mingling in her blood
with the illegal drugs.
She was a great singer, but if Congress
lowers the flags AGAIN, to half mast
I will not be happy.
