Slum Runners

As I sat at my dining room table the other day talking to my daughter on Skype as she sat in a hotel on the outskirts of Kibera, Kenya I thought, I LOVE TECHNOLOGY.

She and her crew have been on the ground about 7800 miles from my dining room, filming her documentary that she has planned for the last 8 years or so.

I can't say how proud I am of her for following her dream.

Ain't technology Grand! I used to love to travel, never made it to Africa though. Mark Twain was right, travel defeats small mindedness, xenophobia, etc. and through technology and open hearted presentations, many more of us can travel. Thanks for sharing, and to your daughter and her project.
